Since the dawn of human consciousness, we have looked to the stars.
Kings, sailors, and the common man all derived information and guidance to navigate by. Our distant ancestors built astronomical calendars in the stone circles and the pyramids that still align with the celestial rhythms of the sun and the seasons. The wisdom of the stars was so valued that until only 330 years ago, astrology and astronomy were the same science: the study of the movement of the stars. About 100 years ago, Carl Jung and his contemporaries created a revival of astrology with a palette of fresh meaning gleaned from the emerging field of psychology. This renaissance continues today, incorporating twenty-first century knowledge with millennia of observational wisdom. Today, astrology is used as a map of the human psyche: it contains profound insights into personal dynamics and life experiences.
A birth chart has been likened to a blueprint, a recipe, a map, a mandala, or a mirror. It is a holographic picture of where the stars were at the moment of your birth. The information encoded in this portrait is rich, comprehensive, and lyrical. It describes your potential, your proclivities, blind spots, experiences that have shaped you, and your deepest happiness. It clearly delineates your life’s purpose and your soul’s direction. The insights, guidelines, and warnings are the owner’s manual you need to thrive. Knowing where your strengths are, and where your vulnerabilities lie gives you the clarity and perspective to make choices that support you in living a fulfilling and satisfying life.

You or I can record the reading. I’ll mail you a printed copy of your chart.
After you receive your session, you are welcome to contact me with any questions you may have about it. It is important to me that you understand the information in your chart and reading.
Life Happens.
I spend a good deal of time preparing for your reading. I ask all cancellations and rebooking be done 4 days prior to your appointment. Cancellations made with less than 4 days’ notice will be billed a $45.00 cancellation charge. There is no charge to rebook a reading.
Natal Chart Reading
This is a comprehensive look at your birth chart, as described above, as well as looking at your transits for the next year to come.
Natal readings take about 2.5 hours to prepare. They are approximately 2 – 2.5 hours in length. $165.00
Evolutionary Transits
The perpetual movement of the stars reveals more guidance called transits. They are much like a teacher’s lesson plan, showing the areas of your life that are being highlighted at the moment. They help you focus on specific aspects of yourself or your life so that you can grow. Knowing your transits helps you make the most of your opportunities, and how to meet the challenges life is presenting to you.
Transits take an hour to prepare. The reading is about 1 hour if I’ve already read your natal chart. $ 70.00
For clients whose chart I have not read, I will take about 1.25 hours to prepare and 1.25 hours to read. $90.00
Relationship Readings
Relationships are so vital to all of us. Astrology has wonderful tools to help understand them. A relationship reading called synastry describes how one partner connects with the other, and the personal dynamics involved. A reading of a couple’s composite chart reveals the purpose of the relationship and how it flows. Both types of readings describe how you can create balance, move closer, and resolve issues.
Relationship readings involve looking at 2 or 3 charts. They take more time to prepare and to read.
A synastry reading, describing how one person impacts the other, takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to read. A synastry reading is $175.00.
A composite reading looks at both charts and a 3rd combined chart. They take 2 hours or more to read. A composite reading is $185.00.
A combined synastry and composite reading is $250.00.
Children’s Charts
Parents can learn so much about their children and how best to nurture them. A reading will help parents know what are the appropriate emotional and learning environments which will allow their child to flourish. A reading of their baby’s chart is a thoughtful gift for new parents or grandparents.
A child’s chart reading is a mini-natal reading. I usually spend about 1.5 hours preparing and 1 to 1.5 hours with the parents. $100.00.
Let’s Party!
I also offer a “party” service. I will do 15-minute individual readings for members of a group of people. It has been a lot of fun for my clients, and for myself as well! There have been many smiles and “uh-huhs” at girl’s nights, office parties, college reunions, bridal showers, bachelor parties, family reunions, and graduations. It is a unique and insightful way to celebrate. $65.00 per hour.
Timing is Everything.
Perhaps the oldest use of astrology is for timing. In the ancient world, kings consulted astrologers for auspicious days to hold important events. The Reagans continued that tradition during their White House days. There are truly better and worse days to hold an event. I can help you find the most advantageous times for weddings, business openings, house closings, travel, and more.
These readings take a long time to prepare, and a short time to convey. I charge by the hour for this work. For an average event chart, I’d allow 2.5 hours. I charge $35.00 per hour for this work.
Astrology Lessons
Curious about how it all works? I teach and tutor astrology.
I’ve been teaching for over 20 years now. Whether it is in a group or individually, I will teach you the mechanics
and alphabet of astrology, and help you become fluent in the language of the stars.
ABC’s of Astrology
I offer a 4-week course: the ABC’s of Astrology. We meet for 1.5 hours each week, and our in-class time will be spent on lectures, discussions, and questions while working on interpretations. You will have some modest homework and will need to purchase a book.
Prices fluctuate with participants. Groups of 2 or more people are $15.00 per person per hour. Individuals are $25.00 per hour. These rates apply to private tutoring as well.
Sliding Scale
I want to make the wisdom of astrology available to many. I try to keep my fees reasonable. I will offer a sliding scale to those who need it. Please contact me and we will discuss the situation.
